"Youth without old age and life without death" represents the search for eternal happiness that can only be achieved through the fulfillment of love. The initiatory journey in this fantasy world of the main character, Făt-Frumos, illustrates the idea that we must overcome, with steadfast courage, every obstacle that fate puts in our way in order to reach perfection and the fulfillment of our existence. The main character represents a generation at the beginning of the journey, full of hope and the desire to reach the essence of life, to understand its meaning.
